Rowell:

First things first, if anything you're doing in marketing involves "settling", stop doing it. Your money is too valuable to waste that way.

If you focus on free search engines (there are a lot), good and consistent keyword filled descriptors and establish lots of valuable link love where you can find it and where it makes sense (poker sites love to link up....don't) you should improve your ranks over time.

And it does take time.

That's some quick advice. Hope it helps.

Best always,
- Peter

enticing begining, sir peter. but it leaves me wanting more of the story.

from the first day of creating my website (i had nothing to do with the building process and don't pretend to understand it), we dealt in key words, variations on key words, tags, metatags, text vs. graphics and all the other things search engines were supposed to look for. my web guy even went to sites of other talent to see what key words they were using. and while we didn't lift things wholesale, we did use that as a guide.

still, one can go 100 pages into anything related to voiceovers and never find www.voices2go.com, while seeing other talent's websites multiple times.

at a certain point, making the site a good "brochure", as you so aptly call it, seemed to be the next best thing to settle for.

so...without asking you to give away what you've worked to hard to achieve...how did you overcome the problem?

respectfully submitted...from the twilight zone.

I've ALWAYS been a thorny guy! If I don't ask the important questions, who will?! :)

I think you're tag is pretty good but to coyly play off of the french, shouldn't you say artiste?

No, Peter....you're not wrong....just a thorn in our sides!!!!! ;-)

When I first set-up my website, I frankly knew ZIP about SEO...oh...I STILL know very little....but somehow my website has managed to come up on the first Google page for the search terms "French Voiceover" and "French Voice over" which are important to me....it's a start!

Now on to....."the most awesome bilingual English French voice over talent artist in the world!"....do you think that'll work? :-)

Peace!
