I was a legal secretary for a lot of years and worked for many small law firms. Some out-of-work attorneys may be willing to take on clients at a reduced hourly fee (I know that everyone in the VO world says not to discount your rates) to start to build a solo practice. Same goes for accountants, etc. So, it's very possible that your network could be very beneficial to the other skill sets. As far as what I'm going, if I hear or read about an opportunity that would be beneficial for a friend or acquaintance, I'll pass it along. I was at an audition for a commercial and someone was talking about needing Asian men for a promotion. I got her contact info and passed it along to one of my acting partners. Recently I saw a post on a LinkedIn group looking for a cinematographer and passed the info along to a DP/director friend.
