If you are involved in social media for your business or if you’d like some edumacation on same, you should attend a Podcamp.

If you are near Toronto (like me) you should attend this one – great people, great knowledge, great town.

February 25-26, 2012 at Ryerson University.

podcamp philly october 2-3 2010

If you are in or around the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area and have a new or continuing interest in social media as it pertains to you life (business or personal) I highly recommend you attend Podcamp Philly 2010.

Of course if you have a Podcamp ANYWHERE near you, I recommend you attend it.

The cost is only $20 (which basically weeds out the real attenders from the pretenders and makes headcount more efficient for the volunteer organizers) You can sign up HERE.

podcamp boston 5 set for September 25 & 26, 2010

I got the ping tonight that Podcamp Boston (the one that started them all) is now written in ink (as opposed to penciled in) for September 25 & 26th at the Microsoft New England Research and Development in Cambridge, MA.

In case you were wondering about what to expect, here is their missive:

Are you ready for the future?

Are you new to new media like blogging, podcasting, Twitter, Facebook, and wondering where to get started?

Are you a veteran of all things 2.0 and wondering what to learn next to propel you into future success?

PodCamp Boston, now in its 5th year, aims to help you answer these questions and many more. On September 25-26, 2010 at the facility of Microsoft New England Research and Development Center, PodCamp Boston will bring together the best and the brightest – including you – for two days of learning, sharing, and growing your social media skills.

It goes on from there but you get the picture. If you are in the area, I’d consider checking it out.

podcamp_toronto_2010_125x125-2

I was advised that there might be a audio script promo coming for Podcamp Toronto 2010 but I never saw it…maybe I missed it.

At any rate, I decided to write my own tonight and this silliness is what I came up with. Please tweet it, facebook it, linked in it etc.

If you have a podcast you want to use it in or some other proper venue to promote Podcamp Toronto 2010, please feel free to use it.

I’ll see you there…and if you see me first, please say hi.

podcamp montréal 2009

podcamp_montreal_2009_65_#pcmtl

All I was doing was reading old posts in my Google reader that I hadn’t yet seen.

Then I saw Julien Smith’s naked ass on my screen while reading a blog post by Mitch Joel.

I was not upset about a naked picture of Julien Smith on my screen.

I was upset that even though his face is hidden, I knew it was a naked picture of Julien Smith.

The thoughts in my head went exactly like this:

“Why is there a picture of a naked Julien Smith on my screen promoting Podcamp Montreal.”

Then immediately after that I thought:

“Why do I know that’s a naked picture of Julien Smith?!!!! Oh my God, my retinas, ack!!!! ”

So, um, Podcamp Montréal is September 19th and 20th at the UQAM Design Centre. You can read all about it here.

As far as I can tell, it is not a clothing optional event.
