voice talents – show us your business cards

nice_teeth_voiceovers

OK gang, fun idea time!

As this blog is about voice over (vox), marketing (market) and advertising (tising) I thought we should have some summer fun here and combine all three into a voice talent business card gallery.

Simply email me a decent quality jpeg picture of your business card (front and back if you print on both sides) and we’ll show them here. Email peter (insert the at sign) audio’connell dot com and I’ll post all entries. Maybe we’ll have a card beauty contest and pick a winner….we’ll see first what kinda legs this idea has.

By the way, I’m not a pro at sizing these cards and images to fit the blog so some cards will be bigger and some will be smaller but size does not equal talent…at least in this effort.

Here’s mine to kick things off:

  3. I LOVE the (UN)nouncer’s disclaimer on the back of his card! Fantastic marketing. I know exactly what to expect from him.

All the cards are great, so far. I can’t wait to see some more.

Where’s mine, you ask? I’m redesigning and looking forward to more great cards for inspiration.

    Keep ’em coming.

  4. Peter, this is a great topic. I’ve enjoyed looking at everyones cards… I wish I would have seen some of these before I had updated mine recently…

  5. Hi Jamee:

You get that card in here right quick! 🙂

    Best always,
    – Peter

  6. I need a business card. I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now.

  7. […] recently asked voice talents to send him an image file of their business cards. You can see them on his web site. I’m also posting my current business card on this […]

  8. Chris- Consider this your call to voice over arms. There’s two quick ways to prove you’re a voice over talent – a strong demo and a business card.

    Best always,
    – Peter

  9. Justin – yours are very nice cards. And the great thing about cards is you can always print up new ones if you get tired of your design.

    Best always,
    – Peter

  10. Although I’m breaking into Voice Over now, I (also) do business cards. In my previous life, I was (am) a graphic designer with 15 years experience working with companies like Sanyo and Hyundai. I didn’t have a card myself until about 5 minutes ago (I slapped it together in about 90 seconds until I feel like spending some more time on it). I’d rather spend my time with VO at this point! I might be able to help with design and/or printing if you need it. -Ernie

  11. Ernie: great to know you are out there. Thanks,

    Best always,
    – Peter

  12. A friend once told me that he was attacked by a graphic designer. At the time I thought that I couldn’t imagine how it would feel.

    Now I know!

  13. It’s so cool to already be familiar with some of the logos of the talent that submitted, and then ALSO seeing the biz cards that go with them! What an amazingly creative group! I had so much fun looking at these and am proud to call many of you my “VO peeps”. hehe

Peter, depending on the amount of submissions, a few different categories for the contest might be cool. Just a thought, since there’s such a wide range of styles! Totally your call though, of course. ; )

  14. What a brilliant idea. I’m enjoying looking at everyone’s cards. I’ll send mine in too!

    Have a glorious day…

    😀
