requiescat in pace chrissy fadala

Boston Voice Talent Meet-Up Front row (l-r) Chrissy Fadala, Moe Egan, DB Cooper; Back row Diane Maggipinto (and son Lio), Peter O'Connell and Lee Gordon

When I heard about this last night, I couldn’t quite bring myself to write about the passing of this wonderful soul.

I knew Chrissy later in her life, first from the VO-BB and then thankfully she joined us for this dinner you see in the summer of 2009. How great for me that she would turn out to join us on this special night. I hope I said thank you enough to her for coming out.

If you aren’t a member of the VO-BB, you’ll need to sign up to read my talented friend Mandy Nelson’s kind and loving story of visiting Chrissy in the hospital with Chrissy daughter Delana and how peaceful it all seemed for everyone.

It was a great crutch for the many broken hearts that got to spend time “with our Chrissy”.

new web site for bilingual voice talent dan hurst

Male Voice Talent Dan Hurst

Got a ping in my email box from bilingual (English/Spanish) voice talent Dan Hurst that he has updated his web site.

His new and improved web site contains exclusive super concentrated emollients and retsyn for that just brushed clean sounding audio.

No it doesn’t, I’m just being silly. But the web site does look nice and it has always sounded great.

a little video voiceover demo fun

To be clear, I am not the first person to create a YouTube video for my voice over demo.

In fact, as usual, many have gone before me and probably done it better.

But while I am not first to the party (you know, where there’s that kinda awkward standing around trying to create small talk waiting for somebody…anybody else to arrive next) I certainly will not be last to the party.

So I hope you enjoy my stab at voiceover marketing sprinkled with a dash of humor.

hear! what national voice over month is all about

National Voice Over Month chair, leader and flag bearer Dave Courvoisier put out the call for scripts and voice talent to help him produce a PSA (public service announcement) for NVOM.

As you might expect, Dave was deluged with people offering to help in his awareness efforts. That’s kinda been the way its been going from the event’s inception in late (I mean really late) August of this year.

So with the GLOBAL voice over help of:

Daniel Wallace, David Atwood, Mahmoud Taji, Bobbin Beam, David Houston, Jay Sawyer, Jim Barton, Ken Maxon, Liz de Nesnera, Linda Ristig, Morgan Barnhart, Lee Gordon, Dan Roberts, Trish Basanyi, Andy Boyns, Mike Coon, Doug Turkel, Melanie Haynes, Bob Souer, Dave Courvoisier, Justin S. Barrett, Rowell Gormon, Mike Roberts, Michael Schoen, Edo Peters, CC Petersen, Jodi Krangle and Ralph Hass

Here is the first National Voice Over Month PSA, produced by Dave Courvoisier.
