Peter K. O’Connell’s Voiceover Agent – Moxie Talent

Moxie Talent represents voiceover talent Peter K. O'Connell

Voice Actor Peter K. O’Connell is represented by Moxie Talent, which serves voiceover clients in Kansas and Missouri from their Kansas City< MO headquarters

It’s now been eleven years since I signed on to have Moxie Talent be my agent in Kansas City (both states).

My friend Dan Hurst had told me about the (at the time) new talent agency that Stacey Siegert had founded, when we were at dinner with some other KC based voiceover friends.

Not being one to waste time, next day, before I headed to the airport, I stopped by the Moxie Talent offices.

Stacey was (is) super cool, we talked a bit about my work, her agent history and by the next day the deal was done.

She’s grown Moxie significantly over the past eleven years but it is still the place to find great models, on-screen talent and voice actors in Kansas and Missouri.

ABOUT MOXIE TALENT

We specialize in the search, screening, and placement of actors and models for in-state as well as out-of-state bookings. We represent talent in the entertainment industry in genres including film, television, radio, commercials, voiceovers, website, social media and commercial print modeling.

audioconnell looks to increase youtube.com subscribers

YouTube is both enjoyable and annoying.

And I would like more subscribers.

I like watching the stuff I like to watch on YouTube but I find it annoying that I constantly have to feed the beast with content for my channel.

See, I don’t like going on camera (that goes for all social media – which, based on likes, seems to prefer when I show a picture of myself doing something rather than any other content I post).

Making videos that I think are worth posting takes time and I am too lazy to teach myself all the tricks…I am a visual learner so I need a tutor which I won’t be getting.

Yet to be a success on YouTube, it helps if you have many subscribers.

You get subscribers by posting content which leads to more subscribers and on.

So I am trying this the lazy way. I’m asking for people to subscribe.

I can’t determine if it’s more desperate or embarrassing or if I can even tell the difference at this point. 🙂

But I also think it’s funny. I’m sounding needy by the ask and yet I don’t feel needy because, if it was REALLY important to me, I’d play the full game of creating a ton more content vs. what I do now – supply content when it comes up organically.

So anyway, if you have not yet subscribed, I hope you will and I will try and keep all my content interesting for you.

Peter K. O’Connell’s Voiceover Agent – Heyman Talent

Heyman Talent Artists Agency represents voiceover talent Peter K. O'Connell

Voice Actor Peter K. O’Connell is represented by Heyman Talent Artist Agency, which serves voiceover clients in the mid-West from their Cincinnati, OH headquarters

I’ve never asked Lynne Heyman if she regretted taking my call back in 2006

I’m glad she did.

I reached out to Lynne back then about voiceover representation and we hit it off immediately. She clearly was very focused and protective of her talent (voice actors, models, on-screen actors, even stylists) and only wanted the best for them.

19 years later, I’m still with Heyman but Laura VonHolle has -for a while now – been successfully running the show for Heyman. The agency has an office not only in Cincinnati (“Go Big Red Machine!”) but also Columbus, Louisville and Indianapolis.

ABOUT HEYMAN TALENT

Heyman Talent Artists Agency features the Midwest’s premiere models, actors and voice over artists but also represent talent from coast to coast.

We are an SAG/AFTRA Franchised Agency, offering the finest in seasoned and new actors for commercial, films, tv and web series as well as industrials.

Unboxing the audio’connell Voiceover Talent Client Gift for 2025

Voice Actor Peter K. O'Connell unboxes his 2025 client giftsYou know I’m always late to trends – by years – but I’ve never considered having an unboxing or producing an unboxing video before.

But when I received my client gifts for 2025 – much faster than they were supposed to be shipped – the idea hit and I thought why not?

Like most of the videos that actually feature me (and I’ll apologize in advance for not being very good on camera – or more accurately – awkward on camera) these are silly, short vignettes that people seem to enjoy. Plus video is supposed to be good for small business (or as I call it, my microbusiness).

So video it is.

I hope you like the reveal (if you were expecting Rolex watches…you must think I charge L.A. prices…nope) I hope you’ll give me a call, give me some (VO) business and I’ll give you a gift.

And yes, for those of you who are northern border hockey fans, that IS a Hockey Night in Canada t-shirt. IYKYK.

the 2025 political commercial voiceover demo from peter k. o’connell

Peter K O'Connell Political Commercial Voiceover DemoSo it’s time to unveil the 2025 political commercial voiceover demo from Peter K. O’Connell – because why NOT talk about yourself in the 3rd person (ha!)

It feels like America is constantly in some sort of election cycle…certainly every 4 years on the Presidential election, but then you have Congressional seats, Governorships, State Ballots and then when you get into counties, parishes and local elections…well it gets busy.

My political commercial voiceover work covers all that.

Pro Life Political Commercial Icon

While not aligned with any political party, I continue to voice political commercials solely for candidates who fully support the Pro-Life platform.

That’s not me pontificating or stumping for my issues. This is just an issue I feel strongly about.

The reason I mention it is to make it easier for casting directors, recording studio producers, political consultants and political advertising agencies. These are all busy, talented people who work for a variety of parties and issues and who all move very quickly. It best to address any conflicts BEFORE work starts.

Nobody gets mad, confused or makes a judgement…we’ve merely identified our respective working parameters.

If those media professionals are looking for political voice talent – and their candidate or issue is not aligned with me, they can quickly move on and I’ve (hopefully) helped make everyone’s commercial production life simpler by just speaking up. That’s my only goal on this point.

If you ARE hiring for political spots and it’s within my scope, know that I have very fast turnaround and am available via SourceConnect (look up @audioconnell).

So without further ado (and I hope you have NOT overdone your ado) here is my 2025 Political Commercial Voiceover Demo (please hit the play arrow):

the genesis of femalevoicetalents.com

Among the voice actresses featured on audio’connell’s Female Voice Talents page are (top row l-r) Amy Taylor-Fernandez, Bobbi Owens (bottom row l-r) Jodi Krangle and Kara Edwards

So there’s been a bit of chat out there in voiceover land about my creating a new page on my audio’connell.com voiceover web site that features professional female voiceover talent (femalevoicetalents.com).

The biggest question so far has been –
• What made you think of doing that?

The answers to that question are service and laziness.

Many years ago, after I started the audio’connell web site, I thought there would be value for my voiceover clients to have some female voice talents (who I knew and / or had worked with) featured on my site. So I did that and it went well.

This is a screenshot of some of professional female voiceover talents featured on the audio’connell web site femalevoicetalent.com

Sometime later, there was a 3rd party problem with the content of one female talent’s demo (nothing to do with me) that led me having to shut the demos down for what I thought would be a short while. The problem was resolved but then I got lazy and never set them back up again.

Some years after that, I began MVO: The Voiceover Guys, which is a unique website featuring 20 popular male voice talents (including me). That’s been going for about 10 years now and while that was starting, I thought maybe I’d start one for the ladies. So I bought femalevoicetalents.com.

And I, lazily, never did anything with that domain until now.

To be clear, femalevoicetalents.com is not nearly has extensive and involved as MVO is – and that’s by design. Femalevoicetalents.com is a very simple and not exclusive web page that allows media producers who are visiting my page to pick from a bunch of female voice talents that I have worked with and /or have known for years.

Three demos, a link to the female voice actor’s email and web address and that’s it. Producers contact the female voice actors directly. The page will not be heavily marketed at this point and clients, via this new website, will enjoy another tool that I have provided for them.

We’ll see how it goes.
