Do I know how to write a headline or what?!

No I’m not pimping out Joe, Paul, George or any of the former Beatles (ba-dum-bump) but each of these three amazing voice talents ARE donating three unique voice over experiences for you to bid on during the The Screen Actors Guild Awards Auctions which benefit the SAG Foundation.

According to my friend Michael Woodley, the auction began on December 10th and runs through December 17, 2010. The SAG Awards Auctions benefit the SAG Foundation to help make possible the Foundation’s public children’s literacy programs: BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) and Storyline Online. The auction also supports Foundation programs providing emergency relief to SAG members in economic distress, video and audio preservation of the creative legacy of SAG members, scholarships for performers and their children, emergency funds for members with catastrophic illnesses and The Actor’s Center.

For the voice over talent in your life, these would be three pretty cool gifts to receive from three very generous guys. Grab your check book or credit card and visit the auction web site to place your bid today.

Female Voice Talent and Voice Over Coach Deb Munro

I got a message from Deb Munro on Facebook that her Double Diva Voice Over Seminar December 4 & 5 (2010) in Toronto is ALMOST sold-out.

Two spots left…and she left me this message a couple of days ago.

So you better get on line to see if there’s still room for you.

Also it turns out that Elley Ray Hennessy is casting for a Disney feature during the seminar. There will also be a mixer Saturday night and i don’t think you have to be a part of the seminar to attend…but check anyway because I don’t know where they are having it.

Evidently Elley Ray Hennessy and Deb Munro either became fast friends at Voices of Vision in September or cemented their friendship there because they’ve scheduled voiceover seminar featuring them both on December 4 & 5, 2010 in Toronto.

According to their promo information for the event: “Deb and Elley Ray will engage participants on the vast spectrum of voice overs covering everything from characters to broadcasting, skills to business, with tips on the local and online markets. This unique workshop will push participants beyond their limits, expanding their knowledge about auditioning, acting techniques and much more.”

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend because I will be in New York at the Voice Talent Productions Holiday party but that’s just as well because there aren’t that many spots left for Deb and Elley Ray’s special voice over event! Here’s is the NEW Faffcon 2 promo video featuring the voice talents of Bruce Miles, Philip Banks, Peter K. O’Connell, Anthony Mendez, Bob Souer and Diane Maggipinto.

Look, this is geeky of me I’ll grant you, but I think it’s cool that I edited most of this video and then uploaded it on to You Tube from my airline seat flying at 36,000 feet. Oh by the way, this blog post is coming to you from that very same altitude and seat.

Fair warning, I will be at this Faffcon…I guess I can register from my seat too. I hope you will come…it’s gonna be big.

Voice Talent & Audio Consultant Dan Lenard

I got a note from John Florian from VoiceOver Xtra! (maybe you did too) that the online pub is hosting a seminar with Dan Lenard in New York City on October 23rd entitled De-Mystifying Audio Recording & Editing.

It will take place at Studios 353, 353 West 48th Street, 2nd Floor in Manhattan from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
